I began painting commissioned portraits in 1989. Since then I have completed over 350 portraits for clients. My advertising until recently has been solely word of mouth. In 2005, I joined Andreeva Portrait Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am also represented in the South East by Emerson-Robbins Portraits.
For each portrait, I meet with the client and discuss expectations and ideas. Then I take approximately 100 photos of the subject from all angles. I also make sketches and notes. I create the painting in my studio taking several weeks to several months depending on the number of commissions I am working on at the time.
| Prices are based on the size and complexity of the composition. Watercolor portraits start at $1750 and Oil portraits start at $4000. A travel expense agreed on in advance and shipping costs are paid by the client. For specific price information, please contact me directly. |
